Tomorrow at 6 am I'm leaving my house to catch a plane to go hang out with everyone's favorite Virginia Anne in the windy city for a week. So far we intend to go to a water park, the museum of science and industry, get drunk, play with her baby brother and sisters, see a friend's show, stay at a hostel, get drunk again and also get hotdogs with pickles on them. Virginia's family lives in Joliet, Illinois, so after we get our fill of the babies, we'll be taking a vacation from them to go hang out in the big city.
This weekend ruled by the way. I'll be back next Monday - real late.

Do they still have the coal mine in the Museum of S&I? I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and remember Dad always taking me to see that more or less terrifying exhibit. Nothing fuels the nightmares for a child like total darkness and monstrous drills.
hello jessica,
this is katie betz. i just had this conversation with jenn lang about people who we like:
k: do you know who else i like? that girl jessica who is friends with coreys exgirlfriend. i dont know her last name...
j: i like her too! do you want to see her internet blog?
k: YES
and so the point is, is the museum of industry the museum that houses colleen moore's fairy tale castle?! did you see it?! i have never seen it but already we are in love. me and the castle.
yours,
katie
i realized after i wrote that that i think you told me when i saw you that you went to chicago and you possibly told me even that you went to this museum and there is a possibliity that i already asked this question. we could have possibly had a one hour conversation about the castle already. but, i was tipsy, and i cant for sure remember.
