Emergency Contraception Bill to Revote

I got this email from my friend Katie and I'd like to share it with all of you. If you feel that this is something you can support - please do.


hey jessica,
i know this seems sort of out of the blue, but i'm pretty sure you're pro-choice, but if you aren't, ignore this!
an emergency contraception bill was voted on yesterday, and it failed. it would have allowed women to gain access to emergency contraception over the counter, as opposed to having to get a prescription to get it. they're revoting on it by the end of the week, because there were some technical problems, so we're all like !!!!! in my office and sending messages to anyone we know who would be willing to email a senator who is pro-choice but changed his vote on it, i'd be really grateful! just telling him that you're appalled that he changed his vote after saying he would vote for this bill and explaining why its important is enough!
