"but, you looked so cute with glasses!"
I have to say that being "a girl with glasses" certainly had it's perks - what a fun persona to adopt, and a hard one to abandon. It's a little frightening to face the world without any accessory on my face which pretty easily helps define me. It's a lot easier to be cute, smart and funny behind a pair of frames. So, wish me luck.
I know, I know - VELMA. You love her. I know. She is still my favorite, too.

But ... you looked so adorable with glasses!
I'm such a luddite, though, when it comes to stuff like this. Who needs an iPod when I've got a discman? Who needs contacts when I've got glasses? Power windows? Hah! I've got a handcrank!
I say just keep around a set of fakes so you can go back and forth between being Indiana Jones and the professor. If anyone gets mad at you they have to take on a German accent and call you Dr. McDevitt.
Sad Kevin...
I mourn the loss of another eye glass wearing woman with your choice of style in glasses not the regaining of your eyesight.

Jessica, you are cute with or without the glasses. Besides, you have one hell of a great personality and you can't beat that or take it away from you. oxoxox
yeah, I say function over fashion as far as eyeballs are concerned.
