Holy Holidays

I only have a couple more papers to do before I go home and get settled at my mother's house for the holidays. But, Ijust don't feel like doing them. I know, the sooner I get them done, the better and I can leave. But I guess I'm not really eager for the holidays to come. I'm pretty content with my penguin flannel sheets up here.

This past weekend I enjoyed some holiday cheer along the eastern seaboard. My roomate and I drove up to New Haven, CT on Friday night after he got back from work. We got to meet up with PenpAlex and Melissa in New Haven and stay at his parents house. His parents make funny jokes over coffee and the newspaper on the weekend. His father wears suspenders and his mother has a infectious chuckle. His sister dances just like him, which, if we're going to be acurate is more of a wiggle. We hung christmas lights on the tree and drank eggnog and hung out with New Haven buddies. It was really nice.

On Sunday after brunch we took off to head home? no. don't be silly, that would make sense! Instead we drove back past New York towards Philadelphia. My niece Catie turned one year old. My brother and sister-in-law had her party at a bar so we could all watch Catie open her gifts and also watch the Eagles game. We got to eat wings and our E-A-G-L-E-S for about one hour before we turned around and went home.

I was so tired by the time we arrived back that I'm pretty sure I parked somewhere that I got a ticket this morning because of street cleaning and I don't even care. All I wanted to do was chill out and watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer on DVD.I know. When did I start watching this show I used to tease in College? I'm a trader and a geek and I don't even care. It's the most relaxing thing I do. Plus, I think I love Seth Green.

I haven't done any christmas shopping yet.
