i think it is officical: i have a severe sleeping problem.

last night i fell asleep at 7:00, woke up at 11:30 ate a tuna fish sandwich and a peice of angel food cake (because i slept through dinner) and fell back asleep at 1:30. When my alarm went off at 7:20 this morning i hit snooze three time and gave myself ten minutes to get out the door and miss my first bus. I got on the next bus with dirty hair and unbrushed teeth ( i ate a york peppermint pattie to make up for it, hahaha) ...so the point is...i'm sleeping far too much.

So the second bus i can catch in the morning is the 3. It's a really good thing i didn't take the 61 as i usually try to do. The 61 goes down St. Paul Street and according to my boss, Katie, St. Paul was blocked up for miles!!! whew! i am a lucky girl.

on the bus this morning...
(is this interesting yet?)
let me tell you about the excitement: This woman got on around 27th street, she had her small child wearing tiny cargo pants and a folding stoller along with a few bags/purses. As they board the bus it's rather hectic, because the bus is nearly full. She is waiting at the little machine that takes your money and says to the tiny little boy "okay, now get out your money, you need 60 cents." which at first was adorable...five tiny fingers stretching with all of their little might to reach deep down into his cargo pockets [we've reached the next stop, someone pays, skirts around them and the stroller and finds a seat] the little boy, no older than age 3 takes out a pill bottle from his pocket. the mother ushers him to sit down in the first set of rows that *by law* you must give up if an elderly or disabled person boards. she fumbles and takes up three or four seats as the bus stops one more time and an elderly man with oxygen tubes boards the bus. several people shuffle out of seats and it seems the more people move the more seats this woman, her child and the stroller all take up. i grab the stroller to move it out of the way and try to encourage the boy to move closer to me and slide down to make room and find myself appologizing for this other lady's stroller to the people it keeps hitting on the rear end, or stopping from exiting the bus......see all the while there are certin people that have such a morning routine that they couldn't alter it, not even in this somewhat extrodinary circumstance. that tall boy i see everywhere, with the big big shoes, he reads every morning. This morning ti was something with WASP in the title, i'm assuming it is about "the man" and not about bees. he reads with a card underneath of the line he's at, and every third paragraph he lifts the card to scratch an itch right below his left eyebrow. He understood that he had to get up from his seat, if it was only because the commotion was distracting him from his book, but at least he recognized it. but he didnt' stop reading once. he stood up for a moment, nose still in book and turned his rear end to sit somewhere that looked less in-the-way without even looking up. but i can tell you, internet, it wasn't less in-the-way. so my decision is: most people on the bus are very selfish.

jason is going to this skatepark in lancaster, PA today. i encouraged him to take a day off from work and live it up a little bit because he was dealing with being so sick all this week. this is s a tiny photo of the park:

yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is a FULL PIPE!, there are all these nice, kind of small bowls that he will get to carve today. it makes me jealous that A. i'm in work and B. that i can't skateboard. (hahahaha)

did i hear that goucher was closed today? my boss said that their was a water main break...isn't that two this year? it seems like my goucher buddies are out there in the middle of towson with some pitch-forks hoping strike water. wouldn't that be awesome?

by the way, i miss you, goucher buddies.

oh, internet! i almost forgot to tell you! sarah wrote me this awesome email yesterday because she saw that i posted about her, and it was a picture of her eating pancakes when she went hiking! isn't that funny!!(the pancakes were one pound each!)

[okay, i did have a photo of sarah here, of her eating pancakes on her 600 mile walk, but then i realize it wasn't nice, i mean the girl wasn't at her prettiest, she was eating and laughing and just hiked hundreds of miles...so internet, i took it down. you can imagine it here. ]
